Headed south to warmer climbs with a lunch stop along the N165 at the hugely popular Aire Marzan (N47.52924, W002.30502), complete with toilet facilities, a burger van (Le Truck) and a walk down to the beautiful river with views to La Roche Bernard.

We made our sunset camp for the night just west of Poitiers at Aire d'Ayron. Yet another beautiful spot just off the N149 (N46.656609, E0.088870). The Aire is positioned just beside a lake and recreational area complete with a bar and restaurant. How good is that. Many thanks to Satman Sean for the tip off.
