After
an overnight stop in Mont-de-Marsan our journey south today took us
via the pretty medieval towns of Orthez and Navarrenx.
Linda on the Navarrenx Bridge
The river below
From
there we followed the river Gave D'Oloron to the shabby chic town of
Oloron-Sainte-Marie at the confluence of Gave D'Ossau and Gave
D'Aspe.
Typical
vernacular architecture of Oloron-Sainte-Marie
Our
campsite for the night was a free Motorhome Aire conveniently
situated by the river within easy walking distance into the centre
town via the river bank. Thanks again to Satman Sean for telling us
about this camper stop (N43.184029, W0.608780).
Our
campsite is just to the right of the bridge
We
are situated in the foothills of the Pyrenees in readiness for
tomorrow's adventure over the mountain range and south of the border
into Spain.
